Why People Fail To Make Money Online

Especially So With A Business!

It is believed conservatively that only 5% of the total number of people who start an online business in the attempt to make money succeed.  Looking at it from the opposite point of view this means that 95% of all other individuals fail to make a significant amount of money! Why People Fail To Make Money Online

In this article, I would like to address why people fail to make money online, especially with a business that they had started.

Despite the scam opportunities that still pollute the Internet, it is NOT easy making money online with a business that an individual has created.

Part of the lie, as seen by this fraud opportunity found here, is that creating a business would easily allow an individual to be be raking in dough.  This money would also be flowing into the business within a matter of hours after initially getting it up and running.

I’m sorry to inform you but that just is not so!

So, to try and combat the thought that you might be among the 95% who do not achieve success in making money online, let me list several reasons WHY people fail.  I then will present suggestions to help you turn your attempt at making money into one that will, over time, produce positive results.

Reason #1 Why people fail  – The thought that a business requires only part-time effort!  But somehow, it will produce full-time results through lots of $$$ being earned!

I completely understand the idea that many people looking to create money online for the first time, especially in a business might also have an actual job.  This job might be one that produces their “bread and butter” (regarding money) and pays all of the bills.

Yet understand one thing:  In order to have a successful online business, one that eventually WILL make you money, still it would require a commitment of time on your part.  In creating a business it would require effort on your part to get it up and running. Why People Fail To Make Money Online

Part of the devious lie told by the criminal deviants who look to lure naïve people into their scam opportunities is the following:

Once an individual decides to get involved with the phony scheme, all that would be necessary for him/her to do would be to “follow the proven system” that was set up by that fraud program.  Mimic exactly what is explained in the directions for setting up the business.  Then sit back and let the computer do all of the work.

As money would be coming into the business practically on a 24-hour basis, why the person could even be making money overnight as he/she slept!

As the con artist had also arranged for actors to tell blatant lies about the success that each of them had by way of testimonials, “proof” exists that the same positive results will be achieved by the “newbie” who had just forked over $99.99 to join this “opportunity”.

Just as seen in the example of a scam money making opportunity that I linked above, it just does NOT work that way!

You must put in the time when first starting out on a new online business venture by working on it.

Now you may have a full-time job.  But, I highly doubt that it takes up 24 hours of your time, 7 days per week, now does it?   Involving your free time, (and it would be a lot more than you originally believe if you think about it), it might mean some sacrifices being made on your part if you truly DO want to make money online with a business.

So, you like watching either sports on television or the popular “Game of Thrones”, binge watching it on your mobile device.  Ask yourself what is more important if you’re at all serious about growing your new online business into one that will eventually bring in profits.

Are those college football games that come on every Saturday for 10+ straight hours all that important to you?

Would you perhaps be making $10,000/month re-watching the entirety of Seasons 1, 2, 3 and 4 of “Game of Thrones” (each for the 5th time) when instead that time could have been spent by you working on your online business?

The choice would be up to you as to the amount of time you COULD be putting into making money with this business.

Or, you could simply spend your time sitting on the couch every weekend watching television. Along with that, your chances of making money through that business that you spend little time on instead would amount to it being nothing but a complete failure!

Reason #2 Why People Fail – They expect positive results with their online business to happen almost instantaneously!

Another part of the devious lie told by scam online money-making ventures is that income can be made in the blink of an eye.

Look, again at that fraud online money-making business opportunity that I have mentioned above.  The person who created this stinker made the rather bold statement that by following his “proven system” to a tee, a “newbie” could make as much as $14,000 within his/her first 7 days after initially creating the business.

I’m sorry readers to say this:  But, if you’re so naïve to believe that line of total b.s., I also have valuable property on Planet Mars that I will be glad to sell you for a quarter.

There is no such thing as an honest get-rich-quick scheme that exists on the Internet.  The words “honest” and “scheme” in fact can be looked at as being complete contradictions by their definitions. Why People Fail To Make Money Online

Understand that in building a legit online business for yourself, it is not something that will take place in a matter of days or weeks.

If you’re truly serious creating a healthy level of income for yourself through the online business that you have created, (6-figures per year)  it will not take only 6 – 12 months to achieve and perhaps not even be accomplished for several years!

The fraud programs have you believing that financial freedom can be built in a matter of 3 – 6 months, to the point where you could quit your job and not have to worry about money for the rest of your life.

Sorry to tell you this, but it just is not so!

Please read #1 again, if you are the person who is serious about building wealth for yourself regarding making money online!

Reason #3 Why People Fail – They get involved with the wrong program that has very poor educational training.

I am sorry to have to say this, but unless you’re already a successful entrepreneur, you do NOT know all that is involved in building an online business. Why People Fail To Make Money Online

The marketing strategies and concepts needed to build a business that promotes any product will evolve yearly.  What worked in 2007 will probably not produce the same positive results now in 2017.

The problem is that so many opportunities that you see online, some of them outright scams, provide such poorly conceived training/educational platforms, (or worse provide next to nothing);  that the odds of your becoming successful would be almost nil.

The fact is that you must get involved with a program that will provide legitimate training so that you would understand HOW to build a successful online business.

Without it, your odds of success will have you fall among the 95% of people who fail at making money online in a business.

Let Me Tell You Of One Truly Legit Online Training Program. . .

Are you serious about learning to find a way to make money online through a legit training program?  Do you want to be among the 5% of people who eventually succeed in building a business?

  1. Hi Jeff
Great post, and i agree with everything you wrote. Because peoples skills at writing posts, and providing information on their site will differ, results will be different.
This means the time to success will differ. My goal for a successful business is first $500 per month, then i know i am capable of way more.
Then you can scale up, and reach your next goal. You need a timeline of years, if you are new. Most people don’t have the patience to work for years, and not have a full time income.
But it’s a fact that if you start, keep learning, keep taking action, you will succeed. Sadly most people won’t do this, they want instant rewards.
The search engines don’t even trust your site for the first 6 months! You need to work hard.

  2. Great page and very helpful for beginners to avoid common mistakes and better understand why they are not making money off their website. I think many people don’t understand that this kind of work is still WORK, they want all the profit and money they see others making without considering the time and effort those individuals put forward to get where they are now.

  3. Hi, Thank you for the time in both reading this article and also sharing your thoughts.  I agree with you that the problem regarding people for the first time trying to make money online in a business is that so many of them fail to understand the time, effort and commitment necessary for it to be successful.  Get-rich-schemes produce nothing in the way of money in any online business venture.  Sadly, too many people fail to understand that.

Again, I do so appreciate your insightful comments!  Thank you for stopping by!

  4. Hi, Greg!  Thank you for stopping by and reading this article and also for sharing your concise thoughts.  I agree with everything that you stated regarding the effort needed to slowly build a profitable online business.  Too many people just don’t have a clue as to the commitment that is needed.  Often impatient, (which admittedly can occasionally be my own problem) they expect to gain profits immediately.

As you stated regarding the search engines, a brand new site is not trusted for a while.  That fact, in and of itself will greatly decrease the odds that a person owning an online business would see immediate profits.  Also consider the fact that so many people now own businesses online and with that, it means greater competition.

Work, sweat and effort are the main ingredients that needed to be put in by ANY online business owner if he/she wants to achieve monetary success.  There simply is no other way!

Thank you again for sharing your excellent thoughts, Greg!  They are very much appreciated by me, sir!

  5. Hi, thanks for your thoughts.
I do agree that main reasons for failure are not putting enough time and efforts, expecting fast results and choosing the wrong training.
I would like to add a few other reasons if you do not mind.
Plus 1 – many people, including myself (sometimes) choose the wrong goals – they say – I want $X in Y months. And when they do not get there – they are frustrated and tend to leave.
The best advice I received was – focus only on task-oriented goals, because these depend totally on you.

Plus 2 – You can’t fail if you never stop trying. And this goes hand in hand with the previous one.
You may improve what and how you can do, and this is the only thing you should be focusing. Keep trying.

Plus 3 – Many are trying to focus on some shiny objects, like funnels, opt-in forms, and beautiful design. But it gets nowhere unless, of course, you are experienced enough to get traffic.
Thanks for the article, enjoyed reading it.

  6. Hi, Andrey!  Thank you for reading this article.  I must say that adding in your own conclusions was great.  As was the case with the ones that I focused on, your 3 ideals were all 100% valid.  Remaining focused on task-oriented goals, the notion that you can’t give up easily without really putting in effort, and finally concentrating on presenting relevant content articles that would be of prime use to your website visitors, rather than focusing on the “shiny new object” syndrome would also be instrumental in allowing a person to slowly develop a profitable online business.

Again, Andrey thank you for not only stopping by, but also in sharing your thoughts which I truly do appreciate, sir!

  7. Good afternoon Jeff,

I am quite new to this computer/internet world. I got my first computer by the end of 2013 and it was against my wish and will. I always say I belong to the handwritten letter generation and as I neither like mashines you can imagine a computer was not on my wishlist. But there you see, things can change in life. Having a computer I only used it for emails and photos. I also started to follow Master classes and Summits on subjects of my interest. Slowly but surely I was feeling more comfortable with a computer and the idea was born in my head that it might be a good idea to use my computer for earning some income. I investigated quite a lot of different things and followed during many hours different options offered online. Soon my mailbox was being flooded with seemingly good plans but on further investigation, they turned out to be very expensive, without a blink of the eye you were being asked to put a couple of thousand $ on the table to be able to sign up. Now, coming across your website I am really happy I did not fall into these traps. I found your post very informative and I will seriously take your recommendation in consideration.

    Regards, Taetske

  8. Hi, Taetske! Thank you so much for, on your own reading this article and also providing your thoughts and experiences. It is great that you have done so much with your computer, after only getting this machine back in 2013. The truth is there are so many scam opportunities online that promise the world to people regarding making them rich. As you noticed when thinking about joining one company, soon others became aware of your quest to run a successful online business and began inudating you with what had to be bogus offers. I fell for a scheme back in late 2005 when I forked over a thousand dollars to join what turned out to be a scam online business opportunity. I discussed it in another article as not bothering to do needed research at the time, I soon discovered that this program provided little to no training/education that would allow a member to eventually succeed financially in his/her online business.

Lesson learned. It is crucial that before committing to any program, an individual needs to first find out ALL he/she can about the opportunity being presented as a way to make money.
Best wishes to you in your online business Taetske!
